A while back, I vowed that I wasn't going to purchase any new foundations until I used up some of the ones that I already have.
Unfortunately, I've fallen off the wagon -- I'm just always so curious about new foundations.
After seeing so many positive reviews for the Maybelline Super Stay Full Coverage Foundation, that curiosity definitely got the better of me.
Now, full coverage foundation isn't usually my first choice, but I do like to have one in my collection in case I want to go full glam -- or have a particularly bad breakout that I need to hide.
A drugstore full coverage foundation would be pretty great in my book, considering the price would be a little kinder on my wallet.
The foundation comes in a heavy glass bottle with a pump dispenser, so it's easy to get out just as much as you need.
It has a fairly thick consistency, but it's very creamy, so it spreads and blends easily. It also manages to feel surprisingly lightweight on the skin, which is definitely a good thing in my book.
In terms of the foundation's finish, it's not dewy, but it's not flat and matte either. I'd describe it as natural or demi-matte, which is makes for a nice change from most full coverage foundation in my experience.
When it comes to coverage, I think Maybelline's claims are pretty accurate -- this is definitely a full coverage foundation. I still use concealer under my eyes, but I don't feel the need to spot conceal when I'm wearing this foundation.
The Super Stay Full Coverage Foundation plays pretty well with my normal to dry skin, though I do find that I need to be careful about how much of the foundation I apply. If I use too much, it can get cakey in a hurry and emphasize dry patches. I find that one pump is enough for my entire face.
I also don't set it with any powder -- Maybelline claims that it offers 24 hour wear, and while that's not true, I do find that it holds up very well for about 10 or so hours. If you have oily skin, though, I think I'd recommend just a bit of powder.
I purchased the foundation in the lightest shade, Fair Porcelain 102, and it's a pretty good shade match for my very pale skin -- though it does lean a little peachy.

The foundation retails for about $11.99, and is available at Ulta and anywhere else Maybelline products are sold.
All in all, I think this is a really nice foundation. If you like full coverage, I think this is definitely worth checking out.
Have you tried the Maybelline Super Stay Full Coverage Foundation? Are you a fan?
