Like a lot of people, the Mary-Lou Manizer from The Balm was probably my first really serious highlighting product.
It is a lovely champagne shade that can look super intense on the skin or blended out for a more subtle effect, making it a pretty versatile highlighter -- and to this day, it's one that I come back to again and again.
I also own the Betty-Lou Manizer, which is a bronze-y highlight shade, and Cindy-Lou Manizer, which is a peachy-pink highlight shade, and I like them both quite a bit too, though I don't get quite as much use out of them as I do with Mary-Lou.
So when I heard that The Balm was adding another highlighter to the line, I knew that I had to give it a try.
Bonnie-Lou Manizer comes in a circular plastic compact like The Balm's other highlighters, and features the same adorable vintage artwork. There's a decent size mirror on the inside that works well for touch-ups too.

For it to work on me, I need to use a super fluffy brush and blend it out really well so I get a sheerer application.
On medium and darker skin tones, though, I imagine that Bonnie-Lou would look gorgeous without much effort at all.

Bonnie-Lou is a really nice highlighter, but if you have lighter skin, it might be one that you can pass on. It's definitely worth taking a look at if you have deeper skin, though.
It retails for $24 on The Balm website.
Have you tried The Balm Bonnie-Lou Manizer? What's your favorite highlighter at the moment?
