In my experience, NYX pretty much kills it when it comes to lip products.
I can't even count how many lip pencils, lipsticks, glosses, and liquid sticks that I have from the brand in my collection ... because it's a whole hell of a lot.
So I'm always willing to give one of their new lip products a try.
The new Slip Tease Full Color Lip Oil was particularly appealing to me, though.
With the cooler weather hitting (or at least, it should be. It's only just starting to stop feeling like summer here on Long Island), I know that my lips are going to be dry and chapped pretty soon -- and a full color lip oil sounds like just the thing to keep them looking great.
The Slip Tease comes in a standard plastic tube -- the cap is black, while the body is clear so you can see the shade inside.
It has a flat doe-foot applicator with a rounded tip that picks up quite a bit of products, so it's a good idea to wipe some off on the edge of the tube.
Now, based on the product's title, I expected this product to be a something like a pigmented, moisturizing gloss. Since it's described as a lip oil, I figured it wouldn't be sticky at all, so it would feel really comfortable in the cold weather -- with no worries about the wind whipping my hair across my mouth and getting stuck in my lip product.

But Slip Tease is nothing like that.
In fact, the formula feels very similar to the NYX Lip Lingeries.
Now, don't get me wrong -- I'm a big fan of those as far as liquid lipsticks go, but that's not what I'm expecting from a product described as a lip oil.
The product isn't transfer-proof because it never really dries down fully, but it doesn't feel particularly moisturizing either. It doesn't have a glossy finish either; it's matte all the way.
The shade I purchased, I Woke Up Like This, is quite pretty -- it's a mauve-y nude with a hint of brown -- and works with a variety of looks.
Still, this isn't what I was expecting from the product so I'm pretty disappointed -- and NYX makes more than enough matte liquid lipsticks, so I'm not sure their line really needs this product too.

So I guess I'm still on the hunt for a full color moisturizing lip product for the cold weather.
The Slip Tease Full Color Lip Oil retails for approximately $7 and is available on the NYX website, Ulta, and anywhere else NYX products are sold.
Have you tried the NYX Slip Tease Full Color Lip Oils? Are you a fan?
