Last week, I talked about the Makeup Revolution Death by Chocolate Eyeshadow Palette and mentioned that I picked up another palette from the line during a BOGO-1/2 off sale.
The Makeup Revolution Unicorn Love Eyeshadow Palette is the same style as the Death By Chocolate in that it comes in the same long rectangular packaging and contains 16 eyeshadows in a layout that's very reminiscent of the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palettes.
The Unicorn Love Palette doesn't have a chocolate theme -- well, at least in theory. It comes in a pink compact that has a fuzzy texture and a large crystal-like heart in the center.

The shadows in the palette include: Unicorn, a matte vanilla; Pure, a light peach with subtle shimmer; Myth, a metallic light copper bronze; Flutter, a matte rust; Imagine, a matte taupe; Story, a metallic dark gold; Tale, a lilac with silver glitter; Fortune, a metallic rosy bronze; Gallop, a purple-y taupe with purple glitter; Mane, a pinky purple with a satin finish; Magic, a matte dark brown with purple micro-shimmer; Sparkle, a metallic copper; Horn, a dark plum with purple glitter; Wings, a matte warm mid-tone brown; Icon, a cobalt blue with purple micro-glitter; and Love, a shimmery peach.

In terms of performance, the shadows in this palette are very similar to the Death By Chocolate Palette.
Some of them are quite nice -- pigmented, smooth, and creamy -- while others are a little meh. The mattes in particular can be somewhat sheer. However, just as with the Death By Chocolate Palette, they layer easily so they're not unusable.

My one complaint is that the shade range doesn't really live up to the Unicorn Love name.
I mean, maybe it's just me, but when I hear unicorns, I think pinks, purples, blues, and greens.
There are a few purples in the palette and one deep blue, but all the rest are more natural shades.
That doesn't make it a bad palette, but if you buy it thinking you're getting a bunch of pretty pastels or bright pinks and purples, you'll be disappointed.
The palette is $15, which is a pretty good deal for 16 shadows, so if you like the color selection, I think it's worth checking out.
You can find the palette at Ulta.
Have you tried the Makeup Revolution Unicorn Love Eyeshadow Palette? Are you a fan?
