Despite being a big fan of Too Faced's eye shadows and loving the compact design of their little tin palettes in particular, I had no intention of picking up their Totally Cute Eye Shadow Collection.
Don't get me wrong -- there were a few colors in the palette that did catch my eye, but there's also bright pink, which is a very difficult color for me to pull off on my eyes, and a couple of other shades that I just didn't think I'd get much use out of.
But I had an HSN gift card that I hadn't used, and the palette was available on the site with free shipping so I picked it up on a total and complete whim.
And I honestly can't remember being this pleasantly surprised by a palette in a long time.
Because I am seriously in love with the Totally Cute Eye Shadow Collection.
The palette comes in the same tin packaging that many of Too Faced's shadow collections do. It's pink, and doesn't feature any artwork -- because the palette comes with adorable stickers that you can use to embellish it (and anything else that you'd like).

However, I didn't expect to love Clover, which was bright enough to scare me a little, and Unicorn, which looks a little boring in the pan, quite as much as I do.
Clover is a brighter green, but it looks lovely blended across the lid with Storm Cloud on the outer corner. Unicorn has such a pretty pink duochrome that it's not just pretty in the inner corner -- I like wearing it all over the lid for a really bright-eyed look.
Double Scoop is an ideal matte highlight shade, while Chocolate Donut and Meow! are great for the crease or deepening up the outer corner.
The only shade I haven't found much use for is I <3 TF, but that's due solely to the color itself -- the formula for all of these shadows is creamy, pigmented, and just fantastic so there's not a dud in the palette.
It's probably not a palette that everyone necessarily needs in their collection, but if you're someone who's always a little nervous about brighter, more colorful shadows, this is a great collection to get you out of your comfort zone just a little.
I know that I've had a lot of fun playing with this palette.
It retails for $36 on the Too Faced website, Sephora, Ulta, and HSN.
