Product Review -- Milani Amore Matte Lip Cremes

If you read this blog regularly, you've probably seen me say that I'm not a fan of liquid lipsticks once or twice.

Hell, probably a dozen times at this point.

So you're probably confused to see yet another liquid lipstick review.

What can I say?

I'm a makeup junkie and I just want to try everything.

Fortunately, the Milani Amore Matte Lip Cremes are the kind of liquid lipsticks that I actually do enjoy.

They don't have the wear time and transfer-proof finish of other formulas, but they're also not drying and uncomfortable either.

The Amore Matte Lip Cremes come in clear plastic tubes that are squared off instead of round. They features a cool, sort of concave doe-foot applicator that conforms to the shape of the lip pretty well so it's easy to apply the product.

I purchased two of the shades, Precious, a cool deep rose, and Gorgeous, a bright raspberry.

Precious is a nice, wearable everyday shade, while Gorgeous is a little bit outside my comfort zone when it comes to lip colors but I definitely plan to work it into fall lip rotation.

These definitely have a creamier texture than most liquid lipsticks, so they don't feel dry or uncomfortable on the lips. They're not moisturizing by any means, but they won't make your desperate for a heavy coat of lip balm either.

They do dry down to a soft, slightly sticky finish, but they're not entirely transfer-proof. They don't leave a heavy lip print if you kiss someone's cheek, but I do see some residue on my glasses and straws when I'm drinking with these on my lips.

They come in a wide variety of shades, ranging from light nude tones to deep, dark burgundies, so there's bound to be something for everyone.

Oh, and they totally smell like frosting, which is a plus in my book.

They retail for approximately $8.99 on the Milani website and anywhere that Milani products are sold.

I see that Milani recently released a line of metallic lip creams, and I'm totally going to check those out when I get a chance.
