I've always liked NYX's single shadows in their various formulations, but I haven't had much luck with their quads and larger palettes.
It's not that they've necessarily been bad, but they're not particularly impressive so I always feel like there are better options out there.
Still when NYX was BOGO-1/2 off at Ulta recently, I decided to give their Full Throttle Shadow Palettes a try.
They come in 8 different color ranges, and they really caught my eye because there are quite a few interesting combinations. There were a few that tempted me, but because I wasn't sure whether I'd like the shadow formula, I only picked up one in Daring Damsel.
The Full Throttle Shadow Palettes come in small square compacts that feature black plastic with an interesting raised pyramid design.
Each palette contains four shadows. In Daring Damsel, there is a shimmery ivory, a mid-tone brown with a satin finish, a metallic golden bronze, and a metallic burgundy.

I think I can safely say that this is the best shadow formula that I've tried in one of NYX's quads or palettes.
All of the shades are nicely pigmented, smooth, and creamy. As a result, they apply and blend very easily, and don't really have much fallout.
My favorite way to use the palette is to apply the ivory under the brow and to the inner corner, dust the bronze onto the lid, work the mid-tone brown through the crease, and use the burgundy to dark up the outer corner and the crease.

I've enjoyed this palette so much that I want to pick up a few more in the Full Throttle line -- Color Riot and Stunner are totally calling my name.
The palettes retail for approximately $10, and are available on the NYX website, Ulta, and anywhere else you can purchase NYX products.
Have you tried the NYX Full Throttle Shadow Palettes? Which color combination is your favorite?
