I don't think that I ever got around to reviewing them on this blog, but I was a pretty big fan of the Bite Beauty Luminous Creme Lipsticks.
It was a nice, creamy formula that felt and looked lovely on the lips, and came in a lot of interesting shades (For example, I don't have anything in my collection that's similar to Cava, my very favorite color in the collection).
So I was understandably bummed when I heard that Bite Beauty was discontinuing the line -- and just as curious to try the formula that was replacing them, the Amuse Bouche Lipsticks.
The first thing that I noticed about them was that the packaging was pretty much identical to the Luminous Creme Lipsticks. The tube is a rubberized dark charcoal/black plastic with a neat little curve at the top that sort of mimics the lipstick bullet.

I think the formula meets most of those claims -- it's definitely creamy, and feel really nice and comfortable on the lips. While they're not drying, saying their "extremely" moisturizing seems a bit... well, extreme to me. They are hydrating to a certain degree, but they're not going to replace your favorite lip balm or treatment product.
The main difference that I notice between the Amuse Bouche Lipsticks and the Luminous Creme Lipsticks is that the former feel like they have a slightly thicker texture. That's a good thing in my book because I feel like they have a longer wear time as a result.
The Luminous Creme Lipsticks seem to have a shinier finish too -- I suppose that's the whole "luminous" thing at play. I'd describe the Amuse Bouche Lipsticks' finish as satin -- it's not particularly shiny, but it's not a flat matte either.
I purchased two shades: Sugarcane, a light blue-based pink, and Sake, a mid-tone dusty mauve.

Still, Sake is probably my favorite of the two. It's a darker shade that's still flattering on my super fair skin. I think it would work for darker skin tones too, though, so it's a pretty universal shade.
All in all, I really like these lipsticks, and definitely see at least a few more shades in my future.
The lipsticks retail for $26 each, and are available at Sephora.
Have you tried the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipsticks? Which shades are your favorites?
