I absolutely love the original Tarte Tartelette Palette.
It's an all-matte collection that features a pretty outstanding formula, so it's extremely easy to use. The shade range is somewhat cool too, which makes for a nice change because I feel like many matte palettes veer toward the warmer end of the spectrum.
All in all, I think it's a great addition to anyone's collection.
So I was really excited to hear that Tarte was coming out with another palette in the Tarlette line.
The Tartelette 2 In Bloom Palette is probably even more versatile than the original, though, because in addition to its outstanding matte formula, it features three luster shades so you can add a touch of shimmer to your look.
Like the original plaette, the Tartelette In Bloom Palette comes in a plastic compact. It features a lovely pink and purple design on the lid and gold accents. Inside is a good-sized mirror that stays open by itself.

But in all seriousness, Tarte has once again hit a home run. The mattes in this palette are all creamy, smooth, and well-pigmented. The shimmer shades are also nice, and I feel like Tarte did a good job choosing them -- they are light and mid-tone options, so you can use them to create a variety of looks.
Tarte includes a card with a couple of look suggestions too, in case you need some inspiration.
Oh, and this palette also has a really amazing scent -- it's sweet, like baked goods maybe.
Overall, the color selection here is definitely warmer, so it may be similar to palettes that you already have. However, if you're looking for a palette that combines matte and shimmer shades in some pretty warm shades, this is a terrific option.
The palette retails for $45 at the Tarte website and Ulta.
Have you tried the Tarte Tartelette 2 In Bloom Palette? Which shade is your favorite?
