One of the very first products that I tried from BECCA was the Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal.
It's a cream/liquid highlighter that looks absolutely gorgeous on the skin, but it can be kind of a pain to use -- because cream/liquid highlighters are always trickier to apply than powders and you can't really put it over powder (I do sometimes, but I have to be careful with the application).
It is versatile, though, because sometimes, I'll mix a little in with my foundation, BB cream, or tinted moisturizer for a subtle, over all glow.
So in general, I like the product quite a bit.
When I saw that BECCA had come up with pressed versions, though, I was definitely interested -- and I kept meaning to pick up Opal or Moonstone to use as an everyday highlighter.
However, when I saw the limited edition shade Blushed Copper (Sephora lists it as limited edition anyway, but it's been on their website for quite some time so I'm not sure how limited it really is), I decided to change plans -- because the color definitely isn't a highlighter on my fair skin but it's so ridiculously beautiful that I had to have it.
The Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Blushed Copper comes in the same style compact as all of the Shimmering Skin Perfector Presseds, but instead of the usual blackish-brown plastic, it features a pretty rose gold metallic finish -- it's one of those products that looks really nice sitting out on your vanity.

The pressed formula has a nice creamy texture that blends easily into the skin. It contains extremely fine micro-glitters that give a beautiful glow to the skin, but it can come off as somewhat intense so I recommend using a duo-fiber brush for a more diffused look.
As its name implies, the powder itself is a gorgeous shimmery copper shade.

It is very pigmented but on the sheer side when blended out, so it's fairly easy to wear even on super fair skin like mine. Obviously, it's not really appropriate to use as a highlighter on all skin types, but it works beautifully as a blush. On darker skin tones, though, I imagine it would be a lovely highlight that adds a nice warmth to the skin.
Personally, I also love using it as an eye shadow -- it makes my blue eyes pop like nobody's business.
Honestly, the shade is absolutely perfect for fall so if you're looking for a multi-use product that you can wear in the colder weather, this is definitely one to check.
The powder retails for $38 and is exclusive to Sephora, I believe.
Have you tried the BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Blushed Copper? What other shades in the line would you recommend?
I haven´t tried it but Copper does look like an Illamasqua bronzer "bronzerella" I own (and use mostly as an eyeshadow). The becca packaging is awesome though. looks so chic and I love pattern on the powder. <3
ReplyDeleteYeah, the packaging is top-notch. I like leaving it out on my vanity just to look at it. :) I'm obsessed with copper shades right now, so I'm loving this one as a shadow too.
