Review -- Wet n Wild Fergie Centerstage Collection Around-the-Clock Blushes and Come Correct Celebrity Concealer

Wet n Wild is one of those drugstore brands that just always lures me in.

Without fail, whenever I walk through my local Walgreen's (they seem to have the best WnW selection in my area), I always have to check out their new offerings -- because in recent years, it's difficult to think of a company that combines quality with value in the quite the same way (e.l.f. comes close, but I think that brand has a few more misses than WnW and their prices have gone up a little too).

So when I saw some new items in Wet n Wild's Fergie Centerstage Collection, I had to check them out.

I have one of the existing shadow quads and one of the shimmery highlighters, and I like them both quite a bit, so I was definitely interested in trying out the new Around-the-Clock Blushes -- and I'm always a sucker for a new concealer, so the Come Correct Celebrity Concealer had to be mine too.

The Around-the-Clock Blushes come in three shades and I couldn't choose between them so I got all three: Brush with Destiny, a light bronze-y peach with gold shimmer; Brush with Brilliance, a peachy pink with gold shimmer (similar to NARS Orgasm Blush, though it's brighter); and Brush with Danger, a matte cool bright pink.

All of the blushes are nicely pigmented and blend easily into the skin. The formula is a little powdery, though, so when you run your brush across them, they kick up quite a bit of product so you need to be sure to tap off the excess from your brush before applying them to the face.

Brush with Destiny is my favorite of the three because it's just such a subtle but pretty everyday shade. It's fairly light, though, so it might not be the best option for darker skins (though it might make a pretty highlight...)

Brush with Brilliance is a gorgeous shade as well, and it's brighter than Brush with Destiny so I think it would show up nicely on all skin tones.

Brush with Danger is probably the most powdery of the three, but it still applies well and is a really great shade for summer.

In terms of staying power, these blushes lasted about six hours on my skin, which is pretty good in my book.

They retail for about $4.99 each.

The Fergie Come Correct Celebrity Concealer is supposed to be a complete coverage concealer, which is always a good thing to have in your makeup bag. It comes in a squeeze tube that contains .34 fl. oz. of product and allows you to dispense just the right amount each time.

And I'm kind of in love the concealer, if I'm being honest.

I wouldn't say that it offers complete coverage as Wet n Wild claims but it's medium to full, and you can build it up fairly easily because while the formula is somewhat thick, it's extremely creamy and emollient and blends into the skin really easily.

Because it blends so well, I don't find that it settles in the fine lines under my eyes or anywhere else on the face -- and it lasts pretty much all day, which is kind of a miracle for me where concealer is concerned.

It works equally well for dark circles and acne or other blemishes on the face. I would recommend setting it with a powder wherever you use it, though, to ensure its staying power.

My Walgreen's only had the Come Correct in three shades, so I don't know if that's the extent of the range or not. If so, it's a real bummer because they're all on the lighter side. I purchased it in the lightest shade, Fair, which is a  pretty good match for my very pale skin.

Just like the blushes, the concealer retails for about $4.99.

I believe that all of these products are Walgreen's exclusives, so check out your local store if you're interested in checking them out.

I definitely recommend them.

Have you tried the Wet n Wild Fergie Centerstage Collection Around-the-Clock Blushes and/or Come Correct Celebrity Concealer? Are you a fan?

  1. this really makes me hope that wnw would expand their line in germany. We do have the basic wnw stuff, but the limited editions are no where to be found.
But we we had, then the concealer would go into my shopping basket. The price is just aweseome.

    1. These are actually permanent products, so hopefully they will wind up in Germany sooner rather than later. The concealer is really nice, especially considering the price. I've been using it pretty much everyday lately.
