When I fall off the wagon, I fall hard.
So despite my best efforts to cut back on QVC beauty TSV purchases, I caved and bought the upcoming bareMinerals holiday kit and then right after that indulgence, I went and ordered the upcoming Tarte Sweet Indulgences 3-in-1 Collection TSV.
I couldn't help it, though.
It's just too good a value.
For just $59.94 (plus s/h), you get three lovely boxes full of goodies, so Tarte suggests you can break them up and give them as three separate gifts.
You totally can, I think -- unless you're greedy like me and want to keep all of the treasures for yourself.

The collection contains:
- Teal Box -- Lip Surgence Lipgloss in Indulging; Lip Surgence Lip Cremes in Wonder and Rave; and Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blushes in Pampered and Savoured
- Purple Box -- Two Colored Clay Shadow Palettes
- Gold Box -- Eyeliners in Plum, Chocolate, and Bronze, and Two Lights, Camera, Lashes! Mascara
I just received my kit, so I haven't had a chance to do a serious road test on all of the products, but I'll give a quick rundown in case you're trying decide whether to treat yourself or some of the folks on your holiday shopping list.

All of the Lip Surgence products have a minty scent that I quite like. The gloss has a thick, slightly sticky texture, which doesn't bother me because it lasts really well on the lips. Indulging is a pretty raspberry shade that I think would flatter a variety of skin tones. The Lip Cremes are nicely pigmented and extremely comfortable on the lips. Wonder is a wearable reddish pink shade, while Rave is a nice peachy nude shade.
Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blushes in Pampered and Savoured
Tarte's Amazonian Clay Blushes are one of my absolute favorite blush formulas -- they're super pigmented and while they don't quite make it 12 hours on me, they last a good, long while. Pampered is a pretty matte coral type shade, while Savoured is a beautiful shimmery berry shade.

Eyeliners in Plum, Chocolate, and Charcoal
I like most of the Tarte eyeliners that I've tried and the three in this kit are really nice. They're traditional pencil type liners that require a sharpener, but unlike some pencil liners that tend to be really hard and drag across the lid, these are soft and creamy. The shade names speak for themselves, but I'll highlight Charcoal as particularly lovely because gray liners have become an obsession of mine in recent months -- and I love that there's no black liner. I feel like even new makeup users have a black liner in their collection so it's not really a shade most people need.

Two Lights, Camera, Lashes! Mascaras
The Lights, Camera, Lashes! Mascara is one of my favorite high end mascaras. I feel like it does a really good job of lengthening and volumizing lashes, so the overall effect is pretty impressive lashes.
The boxes that the kit's contents come in are extremely sturdy and feature a pretty vine-line design. They're definitely nice enough to use as gift boxes. I'm planning on keeping mine to store something in (though I'm not exactly sure what because they're pretty shallow...)
All of the products in this collection are full-size, and when you consider that the Amazonian Clay Blushes retail for $26 each on their own, the $59.94 (plus s/h) price tag becomes even more of a steal.
If you decide to be generous and split it up into three gifts, you're looking at under $20 per gift.
So I definitely recommend picking this one up -- it'll be available for the TSV price on November 10th or you can order it early like I did.
It's also available on auto-delivery, so you'll get another kit in May 2015 at the same great price.
Are you going to pick up the Tarte Sweet Indulgences TSV?
WOW, what an amazing set!this really leaves nothing to wish for. :) You made a great choice buying this!
ReplyDeleteIt really is pretty great. And thank for validating my shopping habits -- I will take all the justification I can get. But I've treated myself a little bit lately so I'm going to be good for the rest of the year. I swear. ;)
DeleteThat´s a tough pledge there! With Christmas coming and all..I´m pretty sure there are going to be lots and lots of nice palettes and sets out.
DeleteI know, I know! lol But I've treated myself enough lately. I've started a pretty long wish list of some of the holiday palettes and sets that I'm hoping my family will shop from. ;)
DeleteIf you ever are in need of a topic for your blog: I´d love to see yor wish list! :)
DeleteI can definitely do that. :) And by the way, I've finally gotten around to taking photos of my palette collection, so I should be able to that post shortly. :)
