I've been a big fan of bareMineral's Ready line of pressed products ever since it was introduced a few years back.
My favorite group of items in the line, though, is definitely the Ready eyeshadows, and the formula has actually become one of my all-time favorites when it comes to shadows.
That means whenever a new palette or quad or duo comes out, especially limited edition shades, I always have to pick them up... like a sucker.
Well, not really. Because I've never been disappointed yet.
My most recent purchases were the Ready Eyeshadow 8.0 in The Affair To Remember and the Ready Eyeshadow 4.0 in The Glass Beach.
(I'm combining them in a single review because I'm not going to spend too much time discussing the formula considering I've rambled on and on about it countless times before.)
The Ready Eyeshadow 8.0 in The Affair To Remember is a limited edition eight shadow palette featuring plum, lavender, and mauve shades that are perfect for spring and summer.
The shades includes: Curtsy, a white shade with silver microglitter; Valet, a shimmery brown with slight purple undertones; Debutante, a shimmery warm pink; Romance, a deep plum with gold, purple and pink microglitter; Waltz, a satin purple-y/pink/mauve taupe; Caviar & Cake, a purple-y gray with subtle silver microglitter; Swept Away, a pale lavender shade that has a slight blue duo-chrome; and Revelry,a shimmery khaki green.

I will say that the shadows in this Ready palette aren't quite as soft as all the others I've tried. That may be because there are more shades that include glitter instead of shimmery or metallic finishes. It doesn't affect their performance -- I find them as easy to work with and blend as all of my other Ready shadows -- but it's something I do notice when I swatch the shadows with a finger.
The Affair To Remember comes in rose gold metallic packaging and features a decent sized mirror on the inside.
It retails for $40 (plus s/h) at QVC.
The Ready Eyeshadow 4.0 in The Glass Beach is a limited edition quad featuring shades inspired by the coast of Northern California.
The shades include Pacific Sands, a matte cream; Sea Glass, a matte bluish grayish green; Golden Coast, a shimmery yellow gold; and Tide Pool, a charcoal shade with brown undertones and silver micro-glitter.

Sea Glass is such a gorgeous shadow, and I feel as if the entire palette is worth it just for that one shade -- I just don't have any other colors like it in my collection.
It's also pretty versatile -- I've worn it as a crease shade, I've worn it on the lid, and I've used it as a liner. It works beautifully pretty much anywhere.
I was a little afraid of Golden Coast because I usually don't like yellow gold shades, but this one is really nice all over the lid.
In terms of softness, the shadows in this quad are more in line with the other Ready shadows in my collection. They're nice and creamy and apply like a dream.
The Glass Beach comes in metallic blue-green packaging, which is just gorgeous.
It retails for $27.28 (plus s/h) at QVC.
I adore both palettes, but if you're only going to pick up one, I'd probably recommend The Glass Beach. The shadows in The Affair To Remember are lovely, but I think they're easy enough to dupe. The Glass Beach colors are more unique -- though they're probably not as universally flattering on all skin tones.
Have you tried the bareMinerals Ready Eyeshadow 8.0 in The Affair To Remember or the Ready Eyeshadow 4.0 in The Glass Beach? Which shades appeal to you more?
I have the bareMinerals Power Neutrals 8.0 palette, and I'm always amazed at how great the formula is! These don't get nearly enough blogger love.
