Recently, I did a post about an IT Cosmetics TSV that was available on QVC.
I mentioned that in the past year or so, I've tried quite of a few products from the brand and have come away super impressed.
I'm kind of backed up in terms of reviews, though, so I haven't posted much about IT Cosmetics -- that's going to change in the next couple of months because I'm such a fan of the items I've tried that I'm bumping them up to the top of my review list.
And that starts with one of my more recent purchases -- the IT Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Vol. 1 Matte Luxe Transforming Eyeshadow Palette.
On first glance, it's just your standard matte shadow palette, but IT Cosmetics tries to make theirs a little more versatile by including what they call a Transforming Pearl Shade that can be layered over the matte shadows to give them a pearl or satin finish.

This is my first experience with eye shadows from IT Cosmetics, and the formula is an absolute winner. I've mentioned before how it can be difficult to find matte shadows that are smooth, creamy, and easy to blend -- these shadows are a hit on all those points. The range of colors is really good too -- plenty of light, mid-tone, and dark shades to create a variety of looks. While the palette is mostly natural shades, there some purple and mauve tones thrown in to mix things up too.
Now, the idea of having a shimmery shade to layer over matte shadows to give them a satin finish isn't really ground-breaking. I have a shimmery ivory color from Sephora that I often blend over matte shades if I want to give them a pearly finish.
However, the problem with my Sephora shadow and the Transforming Pearl shadow in this palette is that they're not particularly sheer so they actually wind up lightening the shadow that you layer them over -- which means the shades don't look exactly the same matte as they do with the shimmery finish.
But the great thing is that because the Transforming Pearl shade isn't sheer, you can use it on its own. It makes a lovely inner corner highlight or an all-over lid color with one of the matte shades in the crease. Because of shimmery finish, it has such a pretty, brightening effect on the eye too.
The packaging for the palette is similar to the original Urban Decay Naked Palette -- it's cardboard that's covered in a pink velvet-y fabric. There's a mirror on the inside that's a decent size for doing your makeup if you're traveling.
You can purchase the It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Vol. 1 Palette for $42 at IT Cosmetics and Ulta. It's also available on Waitlist at QVC where you can get it with a double-ended shadow brush for the featured price of $39.56 (+$6.22 s/h) right now. I purchased mine from QVC, and like all of IT Cosmetics' brushes, the included brush is really nice.

It is a really great palette. I'm seriously impressed with IT Cosmetics' shadow formula -- so pigmented, creamy and blendable! :)
