Review -- Clinique All About Shadow 8-Pan Palette in Neutral Territory 2

Neutral/nude/natural eye shadow palettes have been all the rage in the makeup world for the past few years, and I've tried most of them.

The Clinique All About Shadow 8-Pan Palette in Neutral Territory 2 may be the best one that I've tried this year.

It doesn't offer as many shade options as the Urban Decay Naked Palettes or my beloved Nude'Tude Palette from The Balm, but the colors that it does have are all lovely, wearable, and easy to work with.

It's kind of a no-brainer palette, now that I think about it.

By that, I mean that you can put together a look with having to think too hard about it -- I don't know about you, but when I'm in rush, I usually don't have time to think too much about my makeup, which is why this palette was definite favorite for me during the busy holiday season.

The palette contains 8 shades, which include: Sugar Cane, a shimmery white; Light Shade of Diamonds and Pearls Duo, a shimmery pale gold; Light Shade of Neutral Territory Duo, a shimmery beige; Light Shade of Day into Date Duo, a shimmery light copper; Brown Shade of Polar Blue Quad, a shimmery mid-tone brown; Hazy, a shimmery light golden brown; Black Honey, a shimmery burgundy; and Dark Brown Shade of Morning Java Quad, a shimmery espresso brown.

The range of shades is really well-balanced, with just enough light, mid-tone and deep shades to create a variety of eye looks.

I probably haven't used Clinique eyeshadows since I was in high school, but I have to say that I'm seriously impressed with the new All About Shadow formula. These shadows are all nicely pigmented, smooth, creamy and easy to blend.

I like the shadows so much that I've actually purchased an All About Shadow Single since getting this palette, and will probably purchase more in the future.

The packaging is also quite nice -- it's a slim, silver mirrored compact with a mirror on the inside and a slot for a double ended brush/sponge-tip applicator.  It is really compact, so it would be a breeze to travel with.

The only drawback to the packaging is that the mirrored finish shows smudge-y fingerprints like nobody's business, so I'm always having to wipe it clean after each time I use it. It's not a big deal, but I thought I would mention it.

At $36, the Clinique Neutral Territory 2 Palette is also cheaper than a lot of the other neutral/nude/natural palettes out there so it's a really nice alternative if you're on a budget.

I purchased my palette back in November from Clinique's website, but it's disappeared from the site. Fortunately, you can still get it at Sephora.

It is a limited edition product, though, so if you're interested, you're probably better off buying it sooner rather than later.

If you're in the market for another nude/natural eye shadow palette, I highly recommend checking this one out.

What do you think of the Clinique All About Shadow 8-Pan Palette in Neutral Territory 2?  Are you a fan of these natural/nude palettes in general?

    1. This new formulation is really nice. And I think this palette is a great way to start with their shadows since you get to try several colors at once. The single I bought, Peach Pop, is also super pretty. :)
