Last week, the UPS man showed up the third (and final) AD installment of the Tarte Journey to Natural Beauty TSV from QVC.
I first ordered this kit back in January, I believe, and while it's probably not the most exciting Tarte TSV that I've ever ordered, it's one that I will remember fondly since it introduced me to two products that have quickly become staples in my makeup bag. You can read my reviews of the first and second installments, if you're curious.
The third installment included:
- Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation
- The Brow Architect Brow Shaper, Liner & Definer
- Lights, Camera, Flashes! Mascara
- Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Inspired
- Amazonian Butter Lipstick in Roseberry
- Foundation Brush
The Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation, Brow Architect and Lights, Camera, Flashes! Mascara are included in every kit. I'm a fan of the foundation, though it's not the best fit for my skin when it's dry (as it is now in the cooler weather). The Brow Architect has become my favorite brow product, and I love the Lights, Camera, Flashes! Mascara for when I want really dramatic lashes -- these are the two items that I mentioned have become favorites.

The Amazonian Clay Blush in this installment is in the shade Inspired, which is a really pretty natural berry shade with subtle gold shimmer. It's similiar to the Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed in that they're both have a natural look on the skin. However, while Exposed tends to lean toward the warm rosy end of the spectrum, Inspired has more cool berry tones.
I love it -- I've worn it everyday since I got it actually.

It's a nice fall/winter color.
The kit also comes with a brush -- the information included with the kit doesn't specify what its name is though. Like most (all?) of Tarte's brushes, it has synthetic bristles and it's fairly dense, so my gut instinct is to call it a foundation brush.
Though you could probably use it for blush or bronzer too.

Like the previous installments, there's a generously sized bronze metallic makeup bag too. I think it will definitely come in handy for travel.

What do you think of the colors in this kit? What's your favorite blush and lipstick shades these days?
You ordered this in January?! :O Wow - I would have totally forgotten about it if I were you.
ReplyDeleteLOL. I know, right? That's why I like these auto-delivery kits that are sent out a couple of times a year. I forget about them completely so it's like I've sent myself surprise gifts. ;)
Delete...which is quite genius if you ask me! xD I mean who knows better what you want and like than yourself?
