This or That Tag

At least one of us has time to lounge around these days ... pretty stylish coat, right? (And yeah, whenever I don't have an appropriate photo to go with a post, I just go with one of Brownie. Sue me.)

Once again, I must apologize profusely for the disappearing act. 

This week, I've been swamped with projects for work and the fact that I am the world's worst procrastinator means that it always comes down to crunch time for me.  I've been off my normal work schedule since I got back from Vegas, which only makes things worse, so I'm determine to get back to normal this week -- with work and the blog.

The wonderful Des from Simple Charm Beauty recently tagged me for the This or That tag -- Thanks, Des! -- and I thought that would be a fun post to get me back into the swing of things ... and maybe let you get to know me a little bit better. 

 

MAKEUP:

Blush or bronzer?

Blush, for sure. Since I'm so pale, bronzer can be really tricky for me but the right blush always makes me look a little more awake and healthy.

Lip gloss or lipstick?

This one's hard, but I suppose if I could only wear one for the rest of my life I'd go with lipgloss.  Lipstick can be a little too high maintenance for my tastes.

Eye liner or mascara?

Another tough one, but if I'm forced to choose, mascara.

Foundation or concealer?

Foundation.

Neutral or color eye shadow?

Neutral, though I love playing with colors too.

Pressed or loose eye shadows?

Pressed.  I have plenty of loose shadows that I love, but the messiness of them bugs me.

Brushes or sponges?

Well, I just wrote about my renewed love affair with the Beauty Blender so I guess if we're talking about foundation application, I'd say sponges.  For anything else, brushes.

NAILS:

OPI or china glaze?

OPI.

Long or short?

Short.

Acrylic or natural?

Natural, though I went through a phase when I was a teenager when I was obsessed with fake nails.  Not acrylics, though, the glue-on kind.

Brights or darks?

If I had to choose, darks.  But I only really wear them in the winter.  In the summer, I like bright polish.

Flower or no flower? 

No flower.  I'm assuming that we're talking about nail art and since I can barely manage painting my nails normally without making a huge mess, the idea of painting a tiny little flower on my finger is just laughable.

BODY:

Perfume or body splash?

Both, really. I usually apply a body splash when I get out of the shower and then apply a perfume in a corresponding fragrance just as I'm about to head out the door.  I find that combo helps the scent last longer

Lotion or body butter?

Body butter in winter, lotion the rest of the year.

Body wash or soap?

Body wash.  The idea of bar soap really creeps me out.

Lush or other bath company?

Bath and Body Works. I have some things from Lush that I love, but there isn't a store that's really close enough to my house to be convenient so I have to order online and I don't wind up doing it that often.

FASHION:

Jeans or sweat pants?

Well, that really depends on where I am.  If I'm going out, jeans for sure.  If I'm hanging around the house, I've gotta go with comfy sweats.

Long sleeve or short?

Short. 

Dresses or skirts?

Dresses. What's easier than throwing on a dress?

Stripes or plaid?

Stripes.

Flip flops or sandals?

This is another one that depends on where I'm going... but if I'm honest, I probably wear flip flops more than I should.

Scarves or hats?

Hats.  I adore a good hat.

Studs or dangly earrings?

I probably wear studs more often, but I love dangly earrings.

Necklaces or bracelets?

Necklaces.

Heels or flats?

Heels, but they've got to be thick or stacked heels so I don't feel like I'm teetering around on stilts.

Cowboy boots or riding boots?

Cowboy boots.

Jacket or hoodie?

Jacket.

Forever 21 or charlotte russe?

Forever 21.

Abercombie or Hollister?

I don't think I've ever shopped at either so... neither, I guess.

Saks 5th or nordstrom?

Nordstrom.

HAIR:

Curly or straight?

As much as I love the look of curly hair, I'm so spastic when it comes to using a curling iron or hot rollers that I have to say straight.

Bun or ponytail?

Ponytail.

Bobby pins or butterfly clips

Bobby pins.

Hair spray or gel?

Hair spray, though I don't use it that often.

Long or short?

Can I be a jerk and say medium?  My hair is fine so the longer it is, the stringer and thinner it looks.  But I've got a chubby face so I don't like my hair too short either.  Just past my shoulders is my favorite length.

Light or dark?

Light (to medium.  I'm being a jerk again).

Side sweep bangs or full bangs?

Side swept bangs.

Up or down?

Down.

RANDOM:

Rain or shine?

I like both, actually.

Summer or winter?

Winter. I actually love the snow and cold, and my birthday's in the winter.

Fall or spring?

Fall. It's my absolute favorite season.

Chocolate or vanilla?

This is another one that depends.  If we're talking about ice cream or pudding, vanilla for sure.  For anything else, chocolate.

East coast or west coast?

I am a total East Coast girl.
