Buxom Color Choreography Eyeshadow Palette in Tango

Buxom Color Choreography Eyeshadow Palette

When I heard several months back that Buxom was going to be coming out with a line of eyeshadow palettes, I was beyond excited.

I love their True Hue blushes as I mentioned here, and I love what their parent company, Bare Escentuals, has done since entering the realm of pressed makeup.  In fact, Bare Escentuals Ready Shadows have quickly become one of my favorite shadow formulas.

So I had high hopes for my Buxom Color Choreography Eyeshadow Palette.

I have to be honest on one small point first - while I bought the Tango palette, that wasn't my first choice.  When I first looked at the options, I was immediately drawn to Swing, which features peach, light brown, taupe, vanilla and dark brown shadows - because those are always the kinds of colors I am drawn to.

I couldn't really justify buying the palette when I already have countless shadows at home in those shades.

So I went with my second choice, Tango, because it's a little more unique than Swing.

Tango contains Stride, a shimmery stone; Dip, a matte dark khaki; Tandem, a matte cream; Rhythm, a shimmery light khaki; and Embrace, a shimmery cranberry.

The colors are all beautiful, but the formula is really what has me sold.  (I like it so much, actually, that I may be able to justify buying Swing after all...)

All of the shadows are highly pigmented and super easy to blend. As is often the case, the shimmery shades are a bit creamier than the matte shadows, but they all apply really easily.

I haven't had any issue with fallout either, so wearing these is a breeze.

The color combination is really pretty too - the palette works for a soft, everyday look *and* a sultry smoky look. For me, Embrace is the real standout shade - such a gorgeous color for warming up any look.

Buxom products are available exclusively at Sephora, and you can buy a Color Choreography Palette for $36.  They are six options in total, including a few with some really pretty bright colors, so I think there's probably a palette for everyone.

What's your favorite eye shadow palette at the moment?

My favorite eyeshadows at the moment are probably Philosophy. :)

    1. I didn't even know Philosophy made shadows! Now I've got something else to add to my 'must try' list. ;)
